We Were Made for Each Other… Literally.

“Our moms have been best friends since high school, so they were thrilled when they found out they were pregnant at the same time. And they were even more ecstatic when they found out they had the EXACT same due date.

I ended up beating Adam by 3 weeks.

Even though our moms were attached at the hip, life took them to different cities shortly after we were born. As a result, I grew up in Denver, Colorado while Adam’s family lived in Westchester, NY.

Growing up, my mom would always tell me about her best friend’s son, but all I knew was that we lived weirdly parallel lives. I would fall off my bike and scrape my leg and the next week, Adam would randomly do the same. I should have known how things would turn out.

When I was in high school, my family decided to take a trip to Westchester to visit Adam’s family. It was the first time I met Adam (to my memory at least) and we clicked instantly. We became best friends and continued to talk all the time.

Then, during Senior year, Adam called me one day and asked me to go to prom with him. I couldn’t have been more excited. I booked my plane ticket and before I knew it, I was on my way back to Manchester for the weekend. During the last slow song at his prom, Adam kissed me. I’ll never forget that moment. It was then I realized we were meant to be together.

We ended up going to separate colleges, but visited each other when we could and made our relationship work despite the distance. After graduating, we moved out to Southern California together, where we still live now and are are happier than ever.

I’m convinced our moms planned it to be this way all along.

Some people have to search a lifetime to find their soul mate, but lucky for me and Adam, we were made for each other!”
